Whyte full suspension bikes

Whyte started out in the early nineties designing the Marin fullsuspesnion bikes in the UK. These were soon being ridden world wide. Whyte then decided to create their own bikes. Less constrained by the demands and price points of a US brand like Mairn Whyte could produce what ever it liked and began to pioneer some unique designs that are now common to all British brands.

Whyte 2013 T129 £1,749Whyte T129

The new Quad 4 suspension layout allows Whyte to apply their 29er Trail hardtail geometry to the 120mm Suspension Tail Bike category. Short chainstays gives this bike the agility of a 26" wheel bike but with the inertia and terrain "flattening" advantages of a larger 29er wheel.
Designers Notes: T-129

The same Quad-4 packaging envelope also lets us design a Mid-Travel Trail full suspension 29er with correctly proportioned geometry. Uniquely, we have engineered what no one yet has achieved, a balance and weight distribution of a progressive 26” trail bike, but for the 29er full-suspension age...

Lifetime warranty bearings are used throughout the design, giving this bike exceptional durability in the harshest UK conditions.Speed and flow is the name of the game with the T129, keep off the brakes as long as you dare, tip the bike in as hard as you can and try and work out how you have tamed your favourite single track so fast. Welcome to our World!

2013 Whyte 146 XI £5,249Whyte 146 XI

Whyte set out to improve the 146 still further:  A re-developed chassis yielding an 11% stiffer torsional construction to complement the latest 34mm Fox Forks. Sram’s revolutionary 1x11 XX1 drivetrain combines with a spec that’s set-up to give the Trail Rider the ultimate bike. The still avant-garde geometry sets this bike apart when it comes to out and out trail riding - going up as well as it goes down!

A full carbon tapered head tube gives us fantastic stiffness which delivers very accurate tracking and steering performance in both low and high speed use, for 2013 we have added a tube to link the top tube with the down tube creating even more torsional stiffness.

SRAM new XXI 1 by 11 Group set really moves the trail bike spec forward, now giving a huge 10-42 tooth spread of gears.
